RUMA was started in 2012 by a number of interested undergraduate students and alumni who envisioned a dynamic network of involvement for individual, professional and societal leadership within and beyond the Rice Muslim Alumni Community.
We want to support a network of Muslim alumni and faculty to foster communication between individuals with similar interests and provide access to internships and other opportunities.
We want to provide high quality resources for Muslim students at Rice University, including advice about classes, majors, and potential career paths.
We want to see more Muslim students applying to institutions of higher education, especially Rice University, and assist them in the most effective manner possible.
